If you are an
electronics enthusiast or hobbyist then SpectroBUS is the perfect
way for you to get your PIC based projects up and running fast. With
no knowledge of LCD displays, matrix keypads, RC servo systems or
even PC communications needed, you can now give your next PIC based
project lot’s of smarts, simply and quickly.
Just plug-in the required functionality and with a few lines of code
your project is up and running with professional capabilities and
performance.
The SpectroBUS development system makes the entire process of
building embedded PIC based micro controller projects extremely
simple, including the code development cycle.
Start by adding the desired device modules, set the unique address
of each smart device module and then plug them into any available
slot on the SpectroBUS.
Next, if you need to build a custom circuit you can do that using
one or more of the SpectroPRO prototyping boards. These prototyping
boards have all I/O pins and control signals clearly marked to
assist in the construction process.
Now you’re ready to begin the code development cycle, we have even
helped you with that. First we supply a code skeleton written in
PicBasicPro that includes all of the main routines to configure and
communicate with all attached device modules, all you have to do is
add your project specific code, debug and test.
Lastly you can program the SpectroBUS host PIC MCU using In Circuit
Serial Programming (ICSP). This is a great way to program because
you don’t have to remove the PIC MCU from the SpectroBUS, in fact
you don’t need to do anything other that start the programmer
software and click on the program button. Your SpectroBUS will
immediately start executing your new firmware as soon as the
programming cycle has finished.
Once you have used the prototyping area of a traditional prototyping
system you cannot reuse the system for anything other than the
original project. SpectroBUS is completely re-configurable and never
locked into any project. Just remove the unneeded device modules and
your custom circuits and you are now ready to begin your new
project. There is no limit to how many unique projects that you can
build using SpectroBUS and remember it’s just as easy to go back to
a previous project and pickup where you left off.
With great documentation available on-line for viewing or download,
you have all the tools required to build sophisticated PIC based
embedded projects fast. |
